In this episode Vincent asks Samira to marry him, which she refuses. Meanwhile, Gabrielle confides to her boss that working at the brothel has become unbearable while Paul tells Vincent he wants to leave Arles. Later, Samira leaves for Spain before a drunken argument between Vincent and Gauguin ends in bloodshed.
