“Desire is hunger is the fire I breathe
Love is a banquet on which we feed…”
~ Patti Smith.
July 1889.
Jo sends Vincent a letter with the news of her pregnancy. An elated Vincent makes a supervised trip to Arles and pays a visit to Joseph Roulin and the Reverend Salles, only to discover that both are out of town on holiday. Meanwhile, Danior shows up unexpectedly at Isolda’s home while Tiena is away running errands. He offers to raise Samira’s daughter, Mara, as his own child and Isolda tells him that they’ll consider his offer. Later that night, they pack up and quietly leave for Bilbao.
Emile makes plans to visit Gauguin in Pont Aven, but his dad forbids him from ever seeing that “good for nothing.” Instead, he summers in St. Briac and meets Charlotte Buisse while Gaby gets married and moves out of her parent’s home, passing by the Yellow House in the process.
Arriving in the north of Spain, Tiena buys a rundown property on the outskirts of Bilbao with a view overlooking the city and plans on transforming the property into a Canina named after Mara.
