Little by little, I can breathe, I can breathe again…”

In Bilbao, Juan Carlos returns to “Casa de Mara” after a long absence and tells Tiena that he chooses to spend his remaining years with her, regardless of title or status, and she welcomes him back into the family.
Meanwhile, Vincent meets with Dr. Gachet to sit for a portrait, and the elated doctor invites Vincent to Marguerite’s upcoming birthday dinner. As Marguerite serves them drinks in the garden, Vincent confirms he’ll attend. Overhearing the news, a delighted Marguerite informs their stern housekeeper, Catherine, about the change in dinner plans.
In Paris, Gauguin settles back into the home of his longtime friend, Émile Schuffenecker, who warily grills Paul regarding his plans for the future. As Vincent enjoys Marguerite’s birthday dinner, the housekeeper and Dr. Gachet’s son exchange several uneasy glances. After the festivities, Dr. Gachet poses for Vincent.
